IREM Chapter 9 will once again be assisting The Salvation Army Camp SWONEKY with various projects to enable it to continue to meet the needs of its campers.

Please join your local IREM chapter at Camp SWONEKY Friday, May 6. We plan to begin at 8am and wrap up by 4pm.

We will be assisting in the restoration of several decks to help make them safe and comfortable for the campers and staff. Our efforts will be focused on removing and replacing the top wood railings with composite deck boards. We will be cutting and pry off the old railings and drill, cut and screw and secure the new deck boards. We will also be  completing miscellaneous landscaping projects, including weed removal and vegetation management.

Please dress for outside work and bring the necessary personal safety gear and tools including ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, work boots/closed toe shoes, pry bars, drills, chop saws, circular saws, reciprocating saws, saw horses, etc. Coffee, donuts, lunch and beverages will be provided.
